My Bio

My name is Octavia Curtis, and I am a Sixth Grade ELA teacher at GMS.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Multicultural Education with an Emphasis in Urban Education.  I hold three certifications:  Elementary Education, Reading, and Special Ed. 

 

I decided to become a teacher because I truly love children.  It has always been exciting to watch children learn and discover various ways to help them learn.  I pride myself on having high expectations for all students.
