School Leadership

Mrs. Qunci Dacus has served the Kansas City Public and Grandview C-4 School Districts as an educator for more than 20 years. While at Grandview C-4 she has served as a math teacher at Grandview Middle School as well as an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal at Martin City K8. While at Martin City K8, she has been an integral part of helping students serve their community through mentoring groups, the Cool Kids Club, and Student Ambassadors.

Mrs. Dacus is married with two children, who have both attended Grandview C-4 schools. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she embodies the traits of scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship in all that she does.

Assistant Principals

Ms. Schaefer has been a part of the Grandview C-4 School District since the 2007-2008 school year. She was an English teacher at Grandview High School for 14 years and an Instructional Coach at Grandview Middle School for 2 years. She has been an assistant principal at GMS since the 2023-2024 school year.

Ms. Schaefer earned her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education from Western Michigan University, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Oakland University, and her Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

A lifelong educator, Mrs. Forbes is passionate about fostering holistic learning and advocating for mental health. She has been instrumental in implementing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and restorative practices in her school community.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Forbes has contributed to leadership, curriculum development, summer programs, athletics and activities, Real World Learning, and community engagement. Beyond her professional work, she is a dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and cousin.
